Staple is the basic feed for every day. It gives your koi and other pond fish everything they need to stay healthy and fit, without becoming too heavy. Ideal if you are looking for one regular feed for the whole season.
How does it work? With 31% protein and 5% fat, Staple has a low energy level: the fish get enough nutrition but do not become fat. As a result they keep a beautiful, slim body shape. The pellet stays afloat and does not fall apart quickly, so you can clearly see how much is eaten and less feed sinks to the bottom.
Helps with:
- Fish that become too fat from protein-rich or fatty feed
- Restless or cloudy water from feed that sinks and stays on the bottom
- Doubt about what to feed every day
When do you use it?
- The whole pond season as the daily main feed
- Feed fully from a water temperature of about 15 °C
- In spring and autumn (10–15 °C) alternate with Wheat Germ
Good to know: Want extra growth or colour in summer? Then give Grower or Top Koi Boost for part of the day alongside Staple.

How to use Staple
Feed 2–4 times a day, depending on fish size and water temperature, and no more than the fish eat within 5 minutes. Remove uneaten food. Feed less below 10 °C and do not feed below 5 °C.
