Nitri Balance keeps nitrite in your pond low. Nitrite is an intermediate step in the breakdown of ammonia and is toxic to fish. Nitri Balance ensures it is quickly converted into the much less harmful nitrate.
How does it work? Nitri Balance contains selected Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter bacteria and natural waste-digesting enzymes. Together they convert ammonia into nitrite and nitrite into nitrate: the natural nitrogen cycle every biological filter needs.
Helps with:
- An increased nitrite level when measuring
- A new filter in which nitrite conversion has not yet started
- Fish that are drowsy or breathe rapidly while ammonia is already fine
- Ponds with many koi, where the filter is heavily loaded
When do you use it?
- At start-up and every spring: day 4 and day 14 (after Ammonia Shield on days 1 and 6)
- As maintenance: weekly to monthly, more often with many fish
- After a filter cleaning or water change
Good to know: Switch off the UV lamp for 12 hours after dosing. Preferably start with Ammonia Shield.

How to use Nitri Balance
Preferably start with Bisoko Ammonia Shield. Start-up and every spring: 20 ml per 1,000 L of pond water on day 4 and day 14. Maintenance: 10 ml per 1,000 L, weekly to monthly depending on the biological balance (more often with many koi). Test the ammonia level regularly. Switch off the UV lamp for 12 hours after dosing. Sufficient for 50,000–100,000 L.
